Not Yoga was formed out of Mellisa’s want to help individuals reconnect with their bodies and their appreciation of the human body’s ability and capacity for movement in a setting beyond 1 on 1.
Not Yoga is a space for individuals to gather collectively but to appreciate and learn through their own body’s experience in this group practice.
Every class offers a similar structure: 1. Observation/Inquiry of body (breath and body sensing) 2. Articulating/carving out space in joints and learning to expand range of motion 3. Learning shapes/movements of the body to create a flow sequence 4. Explore through the flow and finding their own creative touches to it
